A new Somalia promising hope, peace, stability, unity, optimism, nationalism and brimming public support is in light for Somali people

The destruction of Somali central government leave deep wounds, societal havoc and vast disarray. Finding the proud Somali people scattered across the globe as refugees is a painful reminder of the failures of government past. The country has been through a destructive civil war, communities have been dig down fabric that once held our nation together has been severely damaged. However, the election of Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has received wide endorsements across Somalia and from international partners of Somalia. New beginning has born Somalia on 8th of February that marks change in Somalia. Somali people seem pleased with the ongoing process whereby all key stakeholders have been consulted prior to the selection of cabinet members. This inclusion will lead to the selection of genuine, charismatic, and pragmatic leaders who understand the needs of the people and who are best suited for the job.

There is a newly revived hope that the Somali government will be able to deliver basic services of security, health, and education, and that it might reform our economy too. President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed (Farmajo) made absolutely clear to Parliament that his administration will work tirelessly towards achieving reconciliation and reconstruction, promoting and protecting Justice for all and offering the best possible support to the most vulnerable in society. The Prime Minister attained overwhelming support as the parliament voted unanimously to approve his nomination. There is a newly revived hope that the Somali government will be able to deliver basic services of security, health, and education, and that it might reform our economy too. Somalia cannot afford any more political infighting which is based political tribalism.

The President understands that Prime Minister Kheyre is well informed of Somalia’s challenges and is committed to bringing forward and leading on the solutions to overcome them in a transparent, inclusive and transformative manner. The President and Prime Minister are expected working closely with Parliament to advance programs of action that will lead Somalia and its proud and resilient people towards stability, progress and prosperity. Somali people are in need for establishing peace, security, creation of a strong national security and a government made up of competent and qualified people.

A government that inspires and uplifts the nation is sorely needed, including the compatriots in the Diaspora, to shake off the sense of apathy we have endured for far too long and to set forth a vision to strive for a better tomorrow. Building Somali national army and our own security to replace Aimson should be the first priority for the new Somali government. Somalia cannot remain without strong Somali national army. Somalia is not a matter of clan affiliation, a regional identity wrapped in colonial legacy, but rather a people with an ancient history and identity. We share more commonality than perhaps any other race in the world, be it language, ethnicity, religion, history or culture. A fresh new beginning ushering in a new spirit that draws from the old one of resourcefulness, optimism, independence appears in horizon
